Carol McLagan
Always drawing as a child, I learnt to appreciate art through being surrounded by my Great Great Grandfather’s work when visiting my Grandmother. She also was talented as were four of her five children.
I began to seriously explore art when our family had grown. Starting with watercolours for several years and I also dabbled with acrylics and mixed media during this time.
I have now tried Oil paints and love the freedom and working with thick paint using brushes and pallet knives. I recently tried ‘Plein Air’ painting on a trip to Alice Springs which has opened an exciting avenue to explore. It was a wonderful experience and one I hope to continue with.
