Christine Wilson

I am a mostly figurative artist, with a particular love of portraiture and landscape, although I also enjoy abstract work at times.

I was a finalist in the 2021 STILL National Still Life Award at Coffs Regional Gallery, a 6-times finalist in the EMSLA still life award, and selected for the last 3 Northern Exposure exhibitions at the Glasshouse Regional Gallery in Port Macquarie. I was also selected for the “New World New Art” exhibition at Coffs Regional Gallery in January 2019.

I was the grand winner of the Bellingen Art Prize in 2016.

As a member of Drummoyne Art Society I won Best in Show and numerous commendations both locally and in Combined Art Societies Exhibitions.

I’ve worked as an artist most of my life, both as an exhibiting artist and as an illustrator, working in the commercial field.

My background includes book illustration, design and production, as well as tutoring in illustration and design at the University of Western Sydney. I have also tutored local art groups including Camp Creative in Bellingen.

My work is held in Coffs Regional Gallery and numerous private collections
