Ellie Poidevin

I started taking formal art lessons at the age of six, with the majority of my paintings on canvas using acrylics. I was taught how to capture proportions and detail in drawing as well. 

I built a strong basic foundation and have been working on improvement from there.

Once I got into high school, I started taking art more seriously, finding more inspiration from other artists and learning skills on my own.

I have started to use oils and work on linen as well as canvas. Most of my works are images or photos I have either taken myself or found online. When I find something I like, I always ensure  to make the painting my own as I have no intention of trying to copy the referenced work exactly, especially if I’m using a reference of another painting. 

I hope to continue to improve my skills as an artist and keep painting as I grow older.
