Jaime Griffioen is a graphite and colour drawings, pastel and acrylic artist based on the Mid North Coast.
Jaime’s journey as an artist began at a young age where she gained a reputation for always drawing. She honed her skills through countless hours of dedicated practice, experimenting with various mediums, until she found her true artistic voice in pastels, acrylic and graphite.
Jaime’s pastel artworks contain vibrant colours and soft textures. With a keen eye for detail and an expert layering, she brings her subjects to life with a remarkable sense of realism.
In contrast, Jaime’s graphite and colour drawings reveal a different facet of her talent. Here she explores the interplay of light and shadow, crafting intricate compositions that play with contrasts and evoke a sense of connection and realism.
Jaime’s acrylic artwork is based on animal portraits whichcaptivate the personalities and characteristics of the subject, landscapes which convey the beauty of the environment, and abstract artworks which elicit an array of emotions.
Jaime has exhibited in local and Sydney Art Prizes, receiving first prize and highly commended places, and enjoys undertaking commission work, especially portraits of your loved ones, family and fur babies.
