Janette has been taking photos since she was 12. Her Dad encouraged her and her brother to use their SLR camera and purchased reams of black and white film and set up a developing studio in their garage.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, none of her early work survives, however the knowhow of using an SLR camera and her creative streak does.
Inspired she joined Castle Hill photo club with over 100 members and started on a creative journey entering competitions and winning many merit awards.
This portfolio of her works from that time, includes birds, flowers mainly from her previous home in the bush at East Kurrajong.
