My current work explores geometric, linear work on paper and canvas. 

In my nonobjective abstract painting one of the things I look for in constructing a painting is harmony and balance.

It is the geometry in this grid structure that I am currently concerned with in my painting.

This corresponds to what can be  seen in the mathematical construction of the natural world. 

Narural/organic formed by mathematical geometry.

In my Red works the passion and heat symbolised by the red colours are explored.

The life forces are dramatic and reds evoke this.

The Australian weather over the last few years has been extreme, harsh and sometimes violent.
