Terri Butterworth


“As a painter I seek to achieve expressive images based on elements of inspiration that consider feelings, sense of place and atmosphere.
The notion of transience, interconnection, perception of defined boundaries; and the intensity of emotion that can be conveyed with so little, continues to intrigue and inspires me to continue painting.”

Terri studied fine arts at SBCC with an Associates degree 1980

Spent six months in the College of Creative studies UCSB Santa Barbara Ca. USA

She has been exhibiting her work in solo, group and selected exhibitions since returning to Australia in 1984.

Her paintings have been included as finalists in several art prizes, and awarded prizes in

Still, Warringah, Eutick, Aust Contemporary Landscape art prizes and SH Ervin gallery Salon de refuses

Works have been included in public and private collections including, CHCG, Northern Beaches council, Insurance inst. Of Aust, KPMG, Novartis, Hunt and Hunt, Merck Sharp and Dohme, PLC Croydon, Maersk Aust, SBC Warburg, Delegate group.
