I am a potter living on the East Dorrigo Range.
My work is mostly thrown forms in stoneware, decorated with gosu (cobalt) blue brushwork. These markings come from a long-time interest in Japanese (hiragana) calligraphy.
Arabic script is also used via brush work or sgraffito. My interest in Arabic comes from travels to Morocco and Turkey, where I found highly stylised forms of the scripts very engaging.
