Emma Louise Davies is an Australian artist and designer whose practice encompasses sculpture, drawing and functional art works. Through her art, she explores aspects of the human condition and our interaction with the natural environment, including notions relating to belonging, perception, power and transformation.
Her home and its surrounding environment, within Gumbaynggirr land near Coffs Harbour, NSW, is inextricably linked to these themes. She sources renewable materials and local suppliers whenever possible.
Emma holds qualifications from the College of Fine Art, Sydney (now UNSW Art & Design) and the North Coast Institute of TAFE, Coffs Harbour Campus. She has participated in many group exhibitions and has won a number of awards. Her artworks have been acquired by Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery and by numerous private collectors.
