Kath Riley

Kath Riley is a mixed media Artist,

Lives in South West Rocks and has a passion for Glass.

Kath’s love of art has been with her most of her life, nurtured by family and friends from a very young age.

Kath was an award-winning hairdresser for over 45yrs and saw hair as another medium to colour and sculpt

Until she retired…..

Having a deep love of the ocean and people watching, Kath draws her inspiration from her stunning Mid North Coast surroundings and only recently discovered the joy of working with warm, hot and cold glass fusing in 2018.

Using repurposed glass from windows, bottles, shower screens, and any she can save from landfill, she is now able to create works with a solid liquidity that only glass can give.

Having had successful Solo exhibitions, Kath has also been a part of many local combined exhibitions and collaborated with other artists.

While still fulfilling her desire to paint, Kath loves to push the boundaries of her chosen mediums, forever experimenting and combining unconventional mediums to create unique works of art.
