Tammie Cole is a ceramic artist based in the Orara Valley, recently completing the Diploma of Ceramics at Coffs Harbour TAFE.
Her work was featured in the Earthy Connections exhibition at Urunga Art Space in 2025, marking a significant milestone in her emerging practice. Although she came to ceramics later in life, Tammie draws on a rich creative background in mosaics, quilting, and embroidery — disciplines that continue to inform her sensitivity to pattern, texture, and material storytelling.
Her practice is grounded in a deep fascination with biodiversity and the delicate interdependence of living systems. Through clay, she explores the quiet resilience of the natural world and the ways human actions shape, disrupt, and coexist with ecological processes. Tammie’s vessels and sculptural forms act as gentle reminders of our intrinsic bond with the land.
At the heart of her work is a desire to honour nature’s complexity while encouraging more mindful, sustainable ways of living.
