Wendy Tanner

Wendy has worked in many media, but her main passion now is mosaics, using a variety of resources. She particularly likes using materials that have been discarded, giving them a new life and telling a story.

She also makes totem poles using recycled tiles, ceramics and crockery.

But her bird mosaics are particularly popular, with metal steampunk birds flying free or mounted on weathered wooden bases made from old fence posts.

Wendy was recently the winner of the 2023 SWELL Small Sculpture Prize in Broadwater, on the Gold Coast.
