Brush strokes

Recently the Art Space was successful in being awarded a grant through the Bellingen Council Creative Placemaking Fund.
This grant has allowed us to do something beautiful and innovative on the Bowra St wall of the gallery.

We call our initiative Brush Strokes.

Members were asked for expressions of interest and the 36 chosen artists were given a 600mm x 400mm piece of marine plywood and told to take it away and do something with it.

In no time at all it seems, the Bowra St wall was painted, battens attached and then the pieces went up and the town loves it.
