Earth Matters runs from 26th November to 14th December, 2024
This an exhibition of ceramic works set up and run by the Shard Sisters
Cath O’Gorman, Anne Reilly, Gloria Malone, Parma Keft and Jane Northway
are all well-known local ceramic artists who have once again collaborated as The Shard Sisters to bring together our exhibition ‘Earth Matters’.
Each one of us is extremely concerned about what is happening to the earth and are hoping that our works will engage with viewers and so inspire greater care and custodianship of our unique environment.
The Shard Sisters speak about their own personal inspiration, motivation and creativity in their individual artist statements displayed adjacent to their exhibited works.
As you explore this exhibition, we encourage you to reflect on the myriad ways in which clay serves as a medium for expression, connecting us to the past, grounding us in the present, and inspiring us to dream positively of the future.
Earth Matters opens from Tuesday 26 November until Saturday 14 December, at the Art Space Gallery Urunga – gallery hours are from 10:00am til 4:00pm each day.
