Memberships

To exhibit at Art Space Urunga, you must be a member of the Art Space.

Membership runs from July 1 to June 30 each year, although you can join up any time of the year.

We need our members so that we can continue keeping our gallery open and alive.
As a member you are part of the community that supports the Arts in our area and you are individually and wholeheartedly valued for this ongoing commitment.

The Art Space runs at least three Members’ exhibitions each year.

These exhibitions are open to every financial member of the gallery

We also run ‘Selected Group Shows’.

When there is a selected group show scheduled, all members are given the opportunity to submit an expression of interest.

There is a selection panel drawn from our membership that views the work of the applications and selects the participants.

We make every effort to maintain a high standard of professional art experience on the selection panel. In this way, we make the best attempt at selecting artists that represent what we believe to be current, well executed and sought-after work, supporting an ongoing high level of sales.

There are also curators for all exhibitions.

These are time consuming activities that hold a great deal of responsibility and are also entirely voluntary.
As a member you may have the education or professional experience to contribute your time to the selection panel, or to curating. Please speak to a Committee member if you would like to contribute in this area.
